Learning Without Limits

Catering Services

At The William Allitt Academy all food cooked on-site is prepared by our qualified and experienced catering team. Students have a choice of 2 cafeterias serving a wide selection of fare at morning break and lunch time.

The school has worked hard to provide a wide selection of healthier alternatives for sale in the dining room. We also promote healthy eating issues in lessons. We encourage students who are bringing a packed lunch to school to make a healthy selection too. Please be aware that glass containers should not be used for reasons of safety.

We have a cashless payment system for all meals and snacks purchased in school. Each student has a personal account from which payments can be taken using a biometric based computer system. Money can be added to the students accounts using ParentPay or using one of the cashpoints in school. More information about our Online Payments can be viewed here

There is an extensive choice of freshly cooked food on offer daily. The lunchtime menu includes a choice of three hot meals including a vegetarian choice, a salad bar, homemade soup, fresh baked bread, four dessert options plus fresh fruit and yoghurts. In addition to our weekly menus, we also have a number of themed menus linked to particular dates and events, for example Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and a pancake bar for Shrove Tuesday.

Junior Hall

The Junior Hall provides a lighter option, which includes a selection of pre-packed sandwiches, made to order baguettes, pasta pots, salad bar, fruit, snacks and drinks.
