Mrs M Payne

Mrs Payne started at the Academy as a teaching assistant with a background of Residential SEND and Youth Work, both detached and in-house.

Mrs Payne expertise and understanding of students’ behaviour, safety and emotional welfare saw her promoted to Child Protection Officer and then to Designated Safeguarding Lead and Senior Lead for Behaviour and Welfare.

Mrs Payne has higher level training in safeguarding and emotional well-being and is a qualified Mental Health Lead
