Back

Mr. Henshaw has worked in education for 20 years, leading in a variety of secondary schools across the Midlands and North Yorkshire.

After having worked as a senior deputy head teacher at William Allitt School in 2014 where he worked with the headteacher to drive the significant improvements needed, Mr Henshaw took his first headship leading rapid improvements that moved his academy from the inadequate category, with the lead inspector remarking that 'the academy had been transformed since its last inspection.’

As an executive leader Mr Henshaw has coached other leaders to bring about a range of school improvements and to lead teams in schools to deliver quality first education for the community the schools serve. Most recently he held Executive Headship positions in two different authorities and has also served on two academy trust boards as a director supporting the development of those trusts in their journeys to deliver a strong education to the young people they serve.

Mr Henshaw’s belief that every student can achieve, and that education is the key to success for all children drives his work every day.
